the launch of spring break

Hello all of my movie reader fanatics. It's ya boy Johnny Bushido. Now let me tell you that this past week was like hell. 2 fucking papers in history and media. I didn't even get done with my media paper until like 2am last night (hate lack of sleep). I imagine what it would have been like if those two paper were due on the same day (ahhhhh!). Still, the week is finally over and my spring break has officially began.

It's kind of jacked up that we have spring break this early. I mean I think the break would have been more appropriate in like a few more weeks. I mean there still fucking snow on the ground, and the city still might get more. I wish I could go to like the real sunny Cancun and get fucked up on beach fucking random women while listening to party music (was that dirty?). Unfortunately people can't always have what they want.

So I looked at Rotten Tomatoes today to see what grade the new movies got. I really want to see Cop Out with Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan, but they have been tearing that shit up. it's at like a 16% the last I looked and this is an epic film. It is a shame because the reviews either talk about the weak script, sub par director, the annoyance of Morgan, and the fact that it's just not funny.
The thing about Tracy Morgan is that the guy just fucking annoys me so much. His voice just splits my ears and a lot of the time I think he just tries to hard. In the stuff I have seen him he's just not that funny. The exception is with 30 Rock, because I think he's a little funny on there, but I haven't really watched the show that often to tell.

Another thing is with Kevin Smith, who has a decent list of films I loved Clerks 1& 2, Chasing Amy, and Zach and Miri Make a Porno. I hated Mallrats and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. This is Smith's lowest rated film, but still may be highest grossing film, leading him out of Kevin Smith B.O. How sad, but I like Smith and can't wait for Clerks 3 and Red State.

The Crazies is also coming out this week, which is a remake of George Romero's 1973 cult classic. Surprisingly it's getting good reviews for a scary movie (a zombie movie no less). So I will eventually have to see that. ANother movie Hot Tube Time Machine is one I have to see because I am still pissed that I couldn't see it last night. I won a buttload of tickets to see the film at a local movie theater. Some friends of mine went (even my mom went). They all said it was really funny. I am so jealous because I had to finish that damn media paper. If I had my shit in order then would have been able to see it. This doesn't mean to do a 5 page paper two days before it's due.

I am also going to the video store tonight since I haven't been there in almost two months. I really want to see that new Coen Brothers's movie a Serious Man, which is nominated for Best Picture this year. I like the Coen Bros. now, because I think the first movie I've seen of theirs is No Country for Old Men (the end confused the fuck out of me). Then I saw Burn After Reading, which is a hilarious screwball comedy set in the modern world. I can't even tell you what the movie is about because it's all over the place, but that's the point.

Well that's it, and since i'm on vacation I can blog more this week (oh yeah). Oh and if I ever get any readers can you put some movie in the comment section that you would recommend. I like comedies, action/adventure, and animated films. Please no documentaries, romance, or horror. Maybe some foreign films. preferably ones from Asian countries and Europe (don't give that Bollywood shit). Peace.
