Hey folks, i just saw Shutter Island at the grand Springdale Cinema DeLux 18 and it is good for the most part. I see the reason why the movie got moved from last October to this February. This is not an Oscar worthy film and it would have gotten easily lost in shuffle compared to the other stronger films of 2009. It is Martin Scorsese's weakest film of the decade. However, a weak Martin Scorsese film is still better than a lot of other films.
This film could have been worse if someone else directed it, but Scorsese still manages to save it. It is always hard to do an adaptation off a successful novel. Leonardo Dicaprio is as great as always, and the twist and the end is really good.
